Summer is right around the corner and you may be searching for opportunities to keep your children engaged and active during their break from school. The DFW area offers an array of Summer camps for just about every interest your child may have including arts, athletics, academics and more! SMU Summer Youth Camp: With camps including ACT preparation to fun opportunities to design video games, the SMU Summer Youth Camp has dozens of options and several sessions throughout the Summer months to keep your kiddos free from boredom and learning new things! Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden: If your children love to be outdoors, the Dallas Arboretum offers great opportunities for them to learn more about nature and science in a fun and exciting environment. Physics Camp for Young Women: Interested in getting your daughter or niece excited about STEM subjects? This camp, hosted by Design Connect Create! is specifically aimed at girls, who are largely under-represented in STEM majors and careers. Summer at Hockaday 2017: The Hockaday School of Dallas offers Summer camp opportunities from June 5-July 21 for students PK-10th The Hockaday Summer camps are co-ed and provide enrichment in the areas of sports, academics, art and much more. Additional information can be found here.
UTA Summer Engineering Camp: Hosted at The University of Texas Arlington, this camp offers exciting enrichment for students in grades 4th-12th and even has a special group just for young women! Dates and fees vary by class and can be found here.
Breitling Performing Arts: If you have a child who is interested in music, dance, or other performing art, the Breitling Performing Arts camp may be an excellent choice for Summer engagement! No prior experience is necessary and the camp also offers before and after care. Find out more here:
